i'm thinking about buying a 1.2 gig athlon real soon... not too keen on the thermaltake products myself. looking at the taisol with the ys-tech fan, so it at least has a resemblence of quiet.

You don't need ECC DDR SDRAM. Just get the standard DDR SDRAM. It's cheaper as well.

the prices arent too bad, they are making about $5-$15 on each product.

On the memory, dont get ECC, its generally slower, more expensive....

the FOP32 and FOP38 are great.....

Price of DDR still seems a little high for my taste when compared to SDR. The 760 chipset isn't really robust. I'd wait to see how the VIA KT266 does or go with a KT133A board with good CAS2 PC133 SDRAM. Furthermore, the A7M266 doesn't allow multiplier adjustment according to firingsquad's review, so overclocking will be limited. If you're buying a 1.33GHz, then overclocking probably won't yield big dividends anyhow. As for the heatsink, i suggest Global Win FOP32 or FOP38.

Thanks for the input. I will not be overclocking. How about the second DDR ram I suggested?
