I plan to build a new system from scratch. I have come up with the following specs:
- 2.8GHz P4 800FSB
- 512MB PC3200
- 80GB 7200RPM
- 9800 Pro
- DVD+/-RW
- 17" CRT
- XP Home
A general idea. The RAM is quality, and the HDD is 8MB cache.
I have a question though, any "normal" PC3200 RAM that you buy (as long as it is the same model with the same number of chips etc.) is dual channel. In other words, is there a special "dual channel" type of RAM that you have to buy?
Thanks.
EDIT: Oh yea, and it's around 1000 bucks with the monitor. I did it by some of those rebate deals that Best Buy and those type of stores run from time to time and by buying from newegg
