I am a bit computer illiterate, so don't laugh :p

I have an AGP TNT2 V770 Ultra in my puter now. Now, what I need help with is the glide factor. I have a Celeron 333@416 w/ 96 megs of ram BTW. I have a Voodoo 1 PCI that I am pondering putting in the computer to factor in the glide. Now, what exactly is glide, and will it help me reach a higher FPS?
LMK
Thanks!

Glide is an API (I.e. like OpenGL or D3D) that the 3dfx cards support. Games such as Unreal use the glide engine and in some cases, having a Voodoo based card to use glide can give you a frame rate boost. However, with the Voodoo 1, it's not really worth it unless you have any glide only games, because the TNT2 Ultra will wipe the floor with it, using Direct 3D/Open GL (which the unreal engine also supports)

Click on the 'help' button along the top - you should find your answer there, but basically it's all down to how many posts you have, except for elite members which are hand picked by the admins. :)
