I think it was a frustration swing, but not intentionaly meant to clobber the other guy in the face. I've been pissed off enough to flail my arms hard enough to knock someone out in a game before. Luckily no one was near where I was swinging.

Seems like a similar case to me. The guys face he hit just happen to be in the wrong place.

Even if he didn't know he'd hit the guy on the ground, he looked like he was hoping he'd make contact. A right cross isn't the best way to regain balance.
