My windows media player, is my player of choice for music/movies but it doesn't play sound files (correctly) and is way out of tune...

I tried to uninstall and change settings to default but I CAN'T GET RID OF IT, IT KEEPS COMING BACK!

Also I reinstalled it and its still the same one with the same settings (still out of tune)

My other players play the music fine but WMP plays them terrible and i can't uninstall it and I can't update it because it's already on my computer and already the latest version

someone plz help me get rid of it so I can reinstall a fresh wmp9 with the default settings so music doesnt sound like crap

Have you tried re-running the installer? For XP: (C:\Program Files\Windows Media Player\Installer\mpsetupxp.exe).

I'm not sure what you mean by "out of tune" though.
