I need to take hsf off...

I have a 9700pro that the fan is making noise on startup. I have a 9800 pro hsf that I am not using. I cannot figure out to get the pins outa card, aside from cutting, as I want to reuse. Is there a way, or do they have to be cut?

i think a pair of longnosed pliers should do the trick if you have the referance cooler
