Well I am responsible for only part of a very large network ... and just started this job a couple of weeks ago.

So when I got a call from the MAIN IT dept saying that they had an IP and it was comprimised and blocked.

It looks as it was in my scope of addresses ... but I have no listing for using that IP in my spreadsheet ...

I know my naming structure, and was trying to determine what the name was to let them know it was not mine, and someone was using one of my static entries.

Anyway .... that's why .... thx for the tip. :)

Isn't it nbtstat -A ipaddress ? .. there is a difference between -a and -A

-a is to list a machines name table by addressing its name
-A is to list a machines name table by addressing its IP
