I need to open ports...

Alright, so I just moved into a new house, and the whole place is all wired up through a Leviton ethernet switch. Now before, I was wired through a linksys router, and just needed to use the port forwarding feature to get the ports I need to play online games, such as Dungeon Siege in this case. Unfortunately, with this new switch I really have no idea how to open the ports, and am a networking n00b. So if anybody could walk me through this, or give me some tips that would be great. I'm running ZoneAlarm as well, and don't have the windows firewall enabled. Thanks a lot.

First off, is this Leviton switch your to mess with? You say you live in a "house." An actual private house, or an apartment and the whole building connects through this one switch?

OK, well, is it a SWITCH or a ROUTER WITH A 4/8-PORT SWITCH built in?

If it's the latter, find the model number, look it up on Leviton's site and find out how to get into the setup. I can help you from there. 🙂

Or just replace it with your old Linksys router.

It is just a switch. I don't know how, but I have 2 incoming IP addresses that are both owned by comcast, but still only pay one charge. It would seem to me that all ports would be open in this situation, but it still isn't working out. I'm seriously thinking about replacing it with my Linksys router, but if there is a way around that I'd really like to figure it out. Something software related maybe. Thanks.
