I need to know.

I am a Sox fan.

However, this will quickly change if they stupidly drop Nomar Garciaparra for A-Rod...not only is Nomar considerably cheaper, but he is an eeve more excellent defender, and his offense is quite superb.

nomar's agent is really pissing of the sox. he's demanding some good money, which the sox think is a little too much.
i'm pretty sure the sox would love to get a-rod. money isn't that big of an issue for ny or the sox these days.
a-rod actually, is younger(28vs30), stronger, faster & has more range + a stronger/accurate arm when you see his higher fielding percentage & more putouts, all with less errors. nomar has alot better bat control though.

if there was any way to get rid of manny, & somehow get a-rod & keep nomar at a reduced salary, nomar could probably play at 2nd & bat 2nd. he would probably hit .380 & score 170 runs in front of a-rod because they would have to pitch to him.

I did not grow up with the Yankees vs Red Sox thing so I have no passion either way. Where I work Yankee tickets turn up from time to time so I have been to five Yankee games.

The Red Sox and Boston have a tradition of racism which I rather not support.
