I know the X800XL has 16 pipes where as the X850 Pro only has 12.

My X800XL died after 3 months and they gave me a X850 Pro for an exchange, should I take it back or keep it?

Thanks.

Please use the search function (or Google); video card benchmarks are *widely* available.

some recent benches from digit-life.

Hmm... except those don't have the X850 Pro. Should be slower than the X850XT, but not sure exactly how much.

here you go. Right from AT. Looks like the X800XL is a *little* faster, but they're pretty close.

Well... you can always ask. :)

But if they don't have any X800XLs, the X850Pro is the closest thing in terms of performance. An X800XT or X850XT would be a big step up, and an X800GTO or X800Pro would be a step down.

If you don't want the X850Pro, and they won't give you something else, maybe you can ask for store credit towards a faster card like an X850XT? Assuming they have one for a reasonable price...

At stock speeds, the X800XL is a faster card (16 pp vs. the X850 Pro's 12 pp).

Overclocked, the X850 Pro will be slighter better.

^^ If you intend to use the AIW functions, then hell yeah... I think they are worth that small amount of extra cash!!
