Well instead of waiting for a Shelby GT500 from the factory in May, I decided to buy another SVT Cobra, this time a 2004 Mystichrome (changes colors) Convertible. I take delivery next week.

I'll eventually sell my Mineral Grey one (#53 out of 154 MG's), but not until I am done doing some mods, maybe buy a Shelby GT or something.

I take delivery next week, until then: A crappy cell-phone pic from the dealership.

This baby purrs like its soon to be sister.

Do they have rehab for this?

No rehab dude...it is a life long affliction. I have had at least one '66 Mustang since the day I bought my first one in 1979 and now I have three. It just gets worse with age too.

Nothin wrong with being addicted to cars.....it's when you start to go with out food just so you can buy that set of extractor or performer manifold that you might have a problem

I HATE the last gen Mustang's body type, so I'm completely at a loss here as to why you couldn't wait a couple of months for what will be such a better car.

How so? my cobra's are .1 faster than the GT500 stock, with a few mods I can leave em in the dust.

The only thing I dont understand is why you would go back and buy another car that is almost identical to 1 you already own. I mean you have a 2003svt, why a 2004? Why not wait for a 07 Shelby? Maybe even go for a Corvette(unless you're a Ford man to death)?

No I love Vettes also (in fact they are my first love) but I plan to sell my MG vert soon and keep the mystichrome, then get a Shelby GT.

I'd get a z06, but I have to keep some sort of restraint on me. (At least until I make some more $$$). :D

I need some sort of rehab too.

$2000 here, $3000 there..it adds up fast!! And to think there is still about $25,000 worth of parts that I want...

I saw a white Cobra covertible at a local dealership about a year ago. It was a 2004 IIRC and it had less than 1k miles on it. They were asking $35k though which is about what they cost new.

I still want the Lotus Elise though...that's the only car for me.

I like the look of newer mustangs, the older ones don't catch my eye. I think I have the start of your "disease" I am all over VAG (VW/Audi) and Scoobies. I plan to pick up a RS 4 in a few years hopefully I won't go bankrupt keeping it together.
