Going to this event tomorrow evening and it's semiformal up to black tie:

I'm poor and need a cheap (a couple hundred dollars) suit that doesn't look too terrible, so if you've got any advice, I'm listening. I'm fairly slim, so I need something that doesn't look like I'm wearing a bunch of pillowcases. Thanks for any suggestions :)

I'll check those places out. Thanks :D I'm going to the parks mall after work today and hopefully some of those places are nearby. I know there's a macy's and dillards in the mall and some of my coworkers suggested those places.

Men's Wearhouse.

Looks like there are two in Fort Worth. It won't be difficult to find a suit this evening. The problem will be having the suit tailored to your measurements by tomorrow night. You may have to pay a little more to rush the job. If you're lucky, your measurements will exactly (or closely enough) match the measurements of one of the suits on the rack and you won't need tailoring.

If you're short as shit like me or really thin, go to H&M. I have an interview coming up next week, didn't want to go full-suit, so I needed a blazer. Went to H&M and got one for $80 that fits like a glove... Looks fine too.

if you get any suits from macys, men warehouse, you need to take them to a tailor or else, you will be swimming in them.

I dunno I stopped at a Men's Warehouse and thought most of the stuff was crappy/crappier than similarly priced Macys stuff. Brands I've never heard of, weak selection.

I would check out Macys, its not too expensive depending on your area. I bought the most expensive suit they had which was a Hugo Boss for only like 500 on sale. CK suits looked pretty nice too.

shame that Suitsupply hasn't opened in Dallas yet, otherwise that would have been my suggestion.

suitsupply is MTM and he will not get his suit the next day unless he buy it off the rack and the fit will be terrible.

Macy's is my pick in this category, and I've done major searching from Nordstrom Rack, JCP, Kohls, to JosABank. Just get a coupon and pick up the best fitting dark gray suit from Macy's. Mine was off the rack Ralph Lauren , separates, and really it looks quite OK considering the low price. I just tried the cheaper suits on there until I located the best fitting one.

Macy's does have some nice stuff. I picked up a nice Polo dress jacket for like 50% off. The only difference between the Macy's and the one from the actual Polo store was that the Macy's one had a little patch stitched in the inside (that I took off once I bought it)

Express. Great fits and decent suits. There's always some coupon going on too so you can do a quick Google and walk into the store.

suitsupply's off the rack suits fit pretty decent if you ask me, the different cuts have different fits off the rack so there's bound to be something you can have the in-store tailor alter in an hour or two that'll fit you nicely, or at least that has been my experience.
