My tires are practically bald and I've been putting it off too long.

Does anyone know the best way to get a good deal on tires. (255/60/15 to be exact, just in case you want to do some legwork for me)

Best deal I can find is at Costco for $82/tire and $50 Mfr Rebate as wel as free balancing, flat fix, rotation for life and free mount.

Anyone have other suggestions? I've checked at Sears, they have same tire for $83. but they'd charge me for mount/balance and no free lifetime type stuff.

I'm currently calling around to local tire places to see what they got. If you know anything helpful, there might be some incentive in it for you. ;)

Costco is prolly your best bet. If you buy from Tirerack and what not you'll pay about $100 to have them mounted/balanced.

TireRack.com is a great place to find tires. I have also pricematched them to my local Firestone shop.

Minendo, will TireKingdom PM from TireRack...if so, i might just do that.

I found some decent tires from TR.com for around $71.

RossMan, you're a riot.

viedit: I don't have membership at SamsClub, but i'll check their prices. I'm sure I can find someone that has membership.

Any other last minute suggestions?

i looked up tirerack.com, called my local discount tire, asked them to match it, and they gave it to me for the tirerack price+10/tire. so i saved shipping costs. they also have lifetime balancing, rotations and patching. but make sure they actually have the tire they sold you in stock before they yank off your valve stems. the wait is shorter when they first open.

Discount Tire... free rotation etc. Free installation and shipping too, which you don't get if you order tires and have a local tire shop put them on. However, "Tire Rack" is what wannabe car geeks will tell you because to them it seems cooler than going to a store.
