Do a search in Body Only for "memory" and "debunked". It will help get better results.

Also, they did just perform a big overhaul and I'm sure some threads got lost entirely.

I do not think the word debunked was used. I know people still reffer to it. The thread debunked the cas latency myth on AMD64. He did some benchmarks with games and applications that showed little or no gain.

So is it debunking the RAM or the CPU? 😕


 
He posted benchmarks to prove that low latency ram does not matter much becasue AMD has an intergrated memory controller.

I think some of the bench marks were:
DOOM3
Half Life 2
Sandra
Super PI or PI Fast

There were some others but I cannot remember. I believe it was posted last year in 2005.

All of them had very little or no change in result due to latency changes.
