seriously, try taking up a new hobby. my gf and i went on a break about a month ago and i have been in the same boat as you. because she is my best friend i have been going through withdrawl. but i just decided one day to get off my ass and to try to take up a new hobby, photography. experiement with different things, something will click. maybe you could try like a singles group maybe if you need help networking.

Dye your hair, then buzz your head down to a number 3, buy a new shirt dress shirt, make yourself like like the shiz and head to a nice bar or club or something.

Be someone else, or just be yourself (if you haven't been for awhile). Meet people and talk. Often times we neglect some easiest ways to have fun.
 
Here's what I did. I just came back from a friends house. We had a few drinks, sat on the deck, shot the sh|t for a few hours. Somewhat helpful, but did not change anything really. I'll feel the same way again tommorow night.

I actually have a big interest in learning photography. I just can't afford the camera I want right now. (Sony DSC-F717) 😀

You dont' need a fancy camera to get started in photography. I just got a used canon rebel film camera, and have been playing with that. I figure the only way to understand the art is if i can learn the traditional basics. and after i learn everything about film and everthing else i'll move to digital. but thats me.
 
I just lost $280 at the casino. How's that for drastic? Wait a minute, that's just plain stupid of me 😛 All in the name of some good fun. A different kind of stress and tension, yet fun at the same time. If I'd be winning, it'd be more fun though.

My work week is 7-days nonstop between 2 jobs. How's that for monotone repetitiveness?

Go take up on a hobby. That'll help.
 
I was in the same situation. I quit my job, got another one and went halfway around the world to a warzone basically because I was bored. My example might be a bit extreme though. It did keep me off ATOT for a few months.
 
There's a book like that. Some group wanted to kill this CEO, so they secretly followed him everyday and filmed his daily routine. And then they filmed some worker bees and their daily routine.

They sent the films to him, he saw the films and killed himself because he realized that he is doing the samething everyday like a worker bee.
 
you definitely need a sports night or poker night. Or a strip club night. Anything once a week will help what you're feeling right now.

I did the exact same thing a few months back. Quit my job, got a new one and went to the middle east for 3 weeks. But it wore off already. Now it's back to the monotony of life. Same crap everyday.

That's probably the way to go, but in the long run a film camera will end up being more expensive. Film and developing costs ain't cheap.
 
Dude I know the feeling. I can relate to exactly where you're coming from. My life felt like a carbon copy, everday was exactly like the day before it. My solution is to get out of the city I grew up in, I'm taking a little money I saved up and I plan on going to a town that has a lower overall cost of living. I should be able to get a decent house, land a part time job and have a little free time again. I'm going to take up a few classes, learn new languageas, learn how to play a few instruments not to mention catch up on all the books, video games and movies I have'nt had time to play yet. I have'nt felt this good in a long time.
