I need to copy a hard drive

Ghost, Drive Image, or your hard drive manufacturer might have a freeware utility to do it 🙂

Confused

RTFM.

Really, it's pretty simple. Make a boot disk, put both disks in the computer, boot off the disk. Go to Copy -> Local -> Disk to Disk and select the 20gb disk as the source and the 80gb as the destination. Once it's done, turn off and unplug the 20gb drive, and replace it with the 80gb, turn on and boot windows 🙂

Confused

You can copy a partition to another hd for free with MaxBlast maxtor.com. It says it only works with maxtor hd but it actually works with any brand.

Does Ghost copy any "better" than Partition Magic? I've been trying to use PM to copy a partition (bootable, at that) with little success in getting the system to actually boot into WinXP.
