Hey Guys,
I am currently doing a course online and it very difficult to access the college website, because my brother connect his useless devices to my router and keep downloading stuff all day, i need to know how to block him or restrict him access.

Thanks a Million

are you sure its his stuff? some sites are just slow from some places.. PS3s generally do not take up much bandwidth unless they are downloading updates, which he can't do that often I would think.

Set your router to only give out one IP address.

Lol, at that point you might as well disconnect the router and hook straight into one comp 😛

As for the OP, see about QOS settings in the router. Blocking him is rediculous, as unless he's using P2P ther'd be no way he's using enough internet to phase you. PS3 updates and demos would be the only thing to download, and even then unless your router is a POS it should be able to easily split the connection.

Just look for his IP in the router settings and set up QOS to give him a lower priority.

could use mac address filtering so that only the devices you specify could connect, but the other options are better, particularly JackMDS'
