I need to adhere a piece of glass onto a hardhat.

The hardhat is plastic and the glass, well, is glass.
The hardhat is rounded so it won't make a complete seal against the glass which is flat based.

Ideas? Crazy glue?

It has to hold against people trying to steal it from me.

Belzona will work.

That is not readily available to the public so PC-7 will probably be your next best bet. Both solutions are epoxy based. Be sure to sand the HH surface well, rough it up real well or better yet drill a few small holes and make sure the paste oozes through these holes to increase bond strength. The glass just needs to be cleaned and free of oil.

I should also mention it'll undergo serious stress tests, eg: people grabbing it by the glass to rip off my hardhat and steal it away.

Just want to make sure it's durable, not sure if glue guns will cut it.

FTW!

I'd try an epoxy or silicone caulking. You could also etch the glass a bit to help...

How etch? It's concaved.. and the hardhat is convex.. which would make it ok, but they're not the same curvature.

A diamond, diamond cutting disk/bit/grinder, or even some synthetic jewels will cut glass easily.
