LOL... anyways, a decently priced good software firewall is McAfee, use it.

I run an IT consulting firm and right now we're managing the IT services for a company with ~350 computers. We use the mcafeeasap total protection for business program because virus and firewall protection are easily deployed and managed from one web based console, however I must recommend AGAINST their firewall. Their A/V does a pretty decent job, but their firewall does not remember settings, which has been confirmed by one of their engineers (who I was eventually escalated to when tier 3 couldn't help me and due to the number of licenses that we have with them) they are *working* on the issue but don't have a fix for it. Anyways we use the windows firewall which we can manage through our Domain security policy. Pretty simple and effective.

A good rule of thumb with software along these lines is to stay away from the big names. Norton and McAffee are your worst enemies. And frankly I think ZA is trash too. Kaspersky is a big name but most people haven't heard of it, frankly its the only AV besides NOD32 that I'd even consider, and KAV has won out every time. Seriously, Agnitum is the only consumer firewall I would even touch. Comodo is OK, but Agnitum is far superior. It stands out amongst a crowd of utter crap, if it wasn't for Agnitum I wouldn't even use firewall software.

You forgot to seal it in a concrete room with no windows. After all any computer is hackable with physical access ;)

I imagine the op would like to use the computer sometime, and without network, remote access is kindda hard.

I need a firewall. I have ZoneAlarm free right now but it's not compatible with Utorrent because it blocks all connections to my forwarded port on my router.

I need a really good one considering I have recently been hacked.

I dont mind paying. Thanks

didn't we already determine that you weren't hacked in the thread you made about this in software?
