I need some winter boots, but what about these ?

These look pretty cool, and they seem to be rather functinoal for the type of gear I need.

I just want a shoe that I can wear in the snow. No heavy hiking.

I am sick of those Duck boots

Well, those are only ankle high shoes. If the snow is more than a few inches deep, you will have some cold feet.
Are you opposed to some lightweight hiking boots? Those would do much better than any shoe.

Hardcore Alaskans (like myself) wear bunny boots. Those are the rubber, air insulated boots that always look like they're too big (they're smaller on the inside). I can wear those working outside at -40°F, and I have. They'll keep your feet warm no matter what. I broke through ice once and went to my knees in freezing water. Within a couple minutes the water in my boots was body temperature. No problem.
