I'm looking for good FPS (like COD, CS, Battlefield etc..) or any others that have good graphics/gameplay. I also like games like Bastion, Portal2, Trine2 etc...
My budget is $20 or less and I don't mind getting just 1 or even a few games on Steams weekly deals (if they're really good).

If you've never played it Half-Life 2 is one of the true classics imo. The Bioshock series is also a great couple of FPS games and can be had for pretty cheap by now.

@Snock: I'll check out insurgency.......is it on sale at Steam? (I can't access Steam from work)

Well, we have the daily deals on Humble Bundle right now, though they end in 5 minutes. It has a couple of Saints Row titles and Metro 2033. We'll see what the new one coming is, maybe some good stuff will come in there (I personally didn't care to get this one as I don't like Saints Row, I have Dead Island on 360, and Metro 2033 isn't worth a $6 buy-in).

Red Orchestra 2 and Insurgency are some good tactical FPS games with nice graphics and decent playerbases.

Planetside 2 = Free2Play MMO-FPS (You can get it through Steam, but you don't have to)

Smite = Free2Play 3rd person MOBA (think League of Legends or DOTA with a splash of FPS style)

Team Fortress 2 = Steam F2P

Pocket the $20 = Profit

I'll second Mark of the Ninja. It isn't a FPS, but a great platformer. Get it on sale for $5, and thank me later.

As for FPS, if you are fan, you know what you like. There isn't any great game you'd love hidden in what you haven't played. That beast simply doesn't exist. I wish they did, but they do not. This is assuming you follow gaming like others here on this board, and have not been living under a rock in North Korea.

If you're into funny and not-too-serious first person combat, I recommend Team Fortress 2. One of my all time favorite games when I was younger :)

LOL!! It's funny with all the paid games I have, this is my favorite/default game (need a daily dose of it). We're trying to put a team from Anandtech in having a "Fight Night" (there's a thread about this in this forum)......Join up!!!

I also have installed and played (briefly) Planetside2.....

Sonic All-Star Racing Transformed is a fav. with my little ones......and I also like it.

I'm looking into Mark of the Ninja and Insuguncy.

What do you guys think of these (I think they're on sale at Steam):

Call of Duty® 4: Modern Warfare $19.99?
Gas Guzzlers Extreme $8.49
TowerFall Ascension $14.99
Battlefield: Bad Company 2 Vietnam $19.99
Spec Ops: The Line $7.49

Deus Ex HR Directors Cut is fps-ish, but with rpg elements...pretty good title.

The older Thief games(Thief gold, Thief Metal Age, Thief Deadly Shadows). I've been playing through the series its awesome. Add hd textures and the games play very nicely imo.

The original Deus Ex(Deus Ex GOTY), also with hd texture mod lengthy, deep, entertaining game.

Just my 2c.
