I am updating my girlfriends PC and need some MB suggestions. My plan is to use a XP2400M processor and probably 512MB of PC3200. I would like a motherboard that has everything built in if possible (LAN, Audio, & Video). If I could get it to run at 11x200 I would be pretty happy. I was thinking about an nForce2 board like the Biostar M7NCG 400, but it seems to have mixed reviews. Other chipsets are an option. As long as it can play freecell, snood, and the sims, she should be good to go. lol.

Shuttle makes a cheap board with km400 chipset for $53, or a dual vga nforce2 board for $76. Almost as cheap as biostar. Personally, I would go for abit, albatron, or msi. I've sent boards back to all 3 (online direct rma). Or get them at newegg. Newegg has changed their warranty. They don't refund or cover warranties for certain boards. Read carefully before buying.

DFI KM400 based. Or the latest batch of the MSI with the latest chipsets (KM400A/8237). They lack only FW. Very nice!
