I need some Linux help.... (XGL)

I just installed suse 10.2 on my Thinkpad T43. Suse read my video card as an M300 rather than an X300. Now im unable to enable 3d Acceleration. (The check box is uncheckable.)

From what I've read, I just need to install the Ati drivers. I went to the ATI/amd site , but there are two difference drivers, Xfree and Xorg.

In order to figure out what i need, im instructed to run check.sh. Thing is - it wont run. I dont know why. I'm new to linux, and just figured out how to run it yesterday. I did the "sh check.sh" and it wouldnt go.

Can someone help me out with getting these drivers on my machine.

Thanks.
