ok i am building a computer... what is the difference between Intel Pentium 1.8A and 2.4B?? and how much would each processor overclock at most, while still being stable...and is there ANY place i can still get a 1.6aGHZ processor??? i know they are discontinued...ok thanks...
 
You might be able to find a 1.6a on the FS/Trade forums or on Ebay. Between the 1.8a and the 2.4b, the 2.4b is just faster 🙂

A is 400Mhz FSB
B is 533Mhz FSB

The 1.6a and 1.8a overclock nicely. Many people have been able to get them to 2.0 - 2.4 Ghz with stock cooling. but for not that much more money, a 2.4b is the best bang for buck right now and can also OC very nicely. Some people have them running at 3Ghz or close to it.

I'd get a 2.4b
