I posted a question in the OS forum, but got only 1 responder that helped, and he says my board could be messed up. Not in a bad flash sense, but in a "I can't get it to flash" sense.

Here Is the link to the original thread.
I have a 2100+ coming from newegg tomorrow, and I need to update my BIOS on my ECS K7S5A so it can support it. MY board is a revision 1 with the orginal 9/11/01 BIOS. Any help is appreciated.

Are you needing help with the process or with finding proper bins?

If you are wanting the updating tools directly from ECS or if you are wanting an altered BIOS that allows more options and overclocking (this is at your own risk!!) You can try this forum

It has all the revisions and links to what you need. Plus a few FAQs on the motherboard and tweaking it.

Good luck...mine is stable...so far :D

Do you have Nero Burning Rom and a CD burner?

I can make an image file that you can download and burn to CD. You boot from that CD and it will start the update automagically.

Alternatively, if your floppy disk works, I can create a self-extracting image which will prepare a bootable floppy disk along with the necessary files. You boot from that diskette and it will start the update automagically.

If this doesn't work, then something is wrong, I would suspect a faulty bios chip.
