Hello! I have recently went out for the first time in 5 years and i have the bug again so to speak! my primary gun is an old school tippmann model 98 with expansion chamber 14" smart parts barrel, CP drop forward, and polished internals. The gun gets the job done, but my spare marker, a brass eagle avenger is where I am looking to make some minor improvements. I would like to add an expansion chamber and a better barrel to the gun, my wife might even end up using it as her marker. I am well aware that it is a bargain basement marker and I am not looking to break the bank on it, just make it a bit better. However I cannot find any aftermarket parts for the thing! Im hoping that someone on here can point me in the right direction!

On a side note, I would like to add an A-5 to my collection, does anyone have aused one they are looking to get rid of? ;)

Thanks!

junk your brass eagle and look at some newer markers. you can get some crazy ones relatively cheaply now.

Brass Eagle? Goddamn, throw that Walmart shit away now. Put $0 into that shit. There's a reason you can't find a thing for it.

Tippmann is a great brand, but depends if you are playing speedball or woodball.

A-5s are cheep and I have seen them for less than $180. I have one for when I take other people out to play that don't have their own equipment.

My current maker in is a Pne-Mag. Short for pneumatic-automag that shoot up to 26 bps with out electronics. I am getting a custom milled body in a month. I am just waiting for it to get anodized.

This.

You can buy a $100 Kingman at Academy that will kill the Brass Eagle no matter how many modifications you make.

Although my vote would be to get an A5 and give your wife the 98 custom.

This. Don't waste money upgrading that junk, because you will spend more for an "after-market" part than the cost of the actual gun. Heck I think I have a spare Spyder MR1 or MR2 I could sell you cheap to use as a backup. (I'm getting rid of my paintball stuff)

Oh man, I loved those Tippman 98's. They were built like a tank and refused to break. They weren't terrible shots either.
