I've got DirecTV at my house. I ended up switching to the Genie system last year and like it. One of the things I like about Direct is the music channels and the concept of using them to feed speakers in different sections of my house.
I'm going to build some mini-amps and use them to drive speakers but realized in my initial testing that the DirecTV minis require the TV to be on when plugged into HDMI. I'm pulling the audio using the analog 10 pin connector to RCA... Is there a way to block the HDCP signal easily without having to spend a lot of money...I just want the Genie Mini to keep pushing the signal.
Ideas or suggestions?
