I need some DDR3 Ram help

For gaming, dual channel. I'd prefer 6 gb's at least for no more than $200. also prefer 2 sticks as apposed to 3 but would triple channel memory matter if my mobo is dual channel? I want the best speed out of my ram like everyone else naturally.()🙂

Also, which matters the most. Latency, timings or speed? I probably will not overclock but depends on if tightening timings means more increasing its frequency

The system i think i'm going to pick will be AMD Phenom 2 x4 BE. So not sure how unlocked multiplier effects my need to increase ram speed.

I'm pretty shaky on RAM, but here's the sense of things I got from reviews and posts:

AMD is dual channel, Intel tri-channel, so that people usually say go 4GB or 8GB if you need more on AMD, but you probably could do 2x2 and 2x1. Intel on the other hand might see 3x2gb.

I'm not sure the distinction shopping between latency and timings in shopping - they sort of went together versus speed - and there's contradictory info but it seemed speed is less important.

A lot of people said don't worry about oc'ing RAM, not worth it; you didn't mention voltage but people also said 1.5V is better than 1.6+v for the same stats, and is nice to get.

I'm trying to give you the info I saw, but note it might be wrong.

thanks. It seemed that Triple channel Ram 6 gigs was as cheap as dual channel 4 gigs. So i got the 6 gig tri channel. Should i play with tightening the timings? would i even notice a difference?
