I am about to buy a gaming tower and I was wondering what you guys think the best one for me is. I just bought a 144 hz 1ms asus monitor. Just wondering what would go good with that.
 
$600.00 +/- I'm really new to this. But im starting to think I will build it. Just trying to do a little research so I don't get robbed. I play allot of first person shooters on ps4. How does pc games compare to that?

There have been four generations of Core i3/5/7 processor to date, or did you mean the i5 in ketchup79's sig?


The i5 that ketchup79 has would be easily adequate for most games AFAIK. A laptop processor is not the same as a desktop processor.

My particular i5 has been succeeded by two generations, neither of which, unfortunately, is much faster than the other. Since you want to game, and considering your price point, go over to the General Hardware subforum and fill out the stick at the top of the page. Those guys will help you put something good together. We can direct you to some good tutorials as well.
