I need some advice about buying a laptop

Hello all,

I am thinking of getting either a 14 or 15 inch laptop.

The laptop is NOT FOR GAMING and simply for casual internet and multimedia such things.

This is the problem so far. I can find some good deals on 14 or 15 inch laptops with good power and features for my needs but crappy screen resolution of 1366 x 768.

I hear people talking about 14 or 15 inch laptops with 1080p (IPS?) resolutions. This must be REALLY nice visually right?

Does a laptop exist that has decent features with a good 1080p resolution for less than $600?

I know its a trade off but my dilemma is whether or not to get a 1080p laptop while sacrificing other features or simply just getting a feature filled laptop with a crappy screen resolution?

I will travel with it a lot and prefer either 14 or 15 inch laptops. I have ZERO idea how 1080p would look on small size laptops. Maybe I should go for an IPS screen and forget about 1080p screen resolution.

On second thoughts 1080p would look bad on a 15 incher or smaller.

I have a 14" with a 1366x768 screen, and a tablet with 800p. Windows is just annoying at less than 1080p. Dont do it if you can avoid it.

I could not pass up this amazon deal because the specs on the 1080p laptops were worse in other areas. I sacrificed the 1080p screen for better specs.

Look at the specs and the LCD screen still isn't that bad all things being considered right?
