Dude, you can do this by yourself. You really don't need advice on this one.

Oh, and I just buy a couple bags of the really cheap ankle socks at Walmart.

I am not gonna downgrade myself to the walmart level. I bought a few pairs of boxers from walmart before, you are not gonna believe how comfortable it could be.

I just had a brilliant idea.

Here is the plan... Go to WalMart on Nov15 and CAMP OUT with the other gamers only YOU will be waiting to buy a pack of socks. When they open the doors instead of running for the PS3s you go running for the clearance socks... No one will suspect a thing!

I buy those thin nylon socks at Walmart for about $1 a pair. I no longer wear cotton socks because the synthetic socks at Walmart:

1. dry quicker than cotton (they dry very quickly actually)

2. breathe better (thinner than cotton)

3. more comfortable (thinner than cotton and still plenty soft)

4. still cheap

5. I like black (versus primarily white for cotton)

 This thread is great!

OP, I have a couple pairs of socks I'm not using anymore because they have holes in them. $5 ea +shipping sound fair?

It would depend on the brand of the sock, not where you buy it from...

If you really want to go for comfortable, form-fitting, warm, and expensive, Smartwool is great.

No, they're nylon socks.
