I want to buy a spare pair of tennis shoes to take with me on vacation in case the other pair I am bringing are rendered useless.

Any good sources for running/tennis shoes that are under $25?

Payless Shoes? Walmart?

I wouldn't expect much in way of comfort though. But I'm a shoe nut that worked in a technical running store (actually sized and fitted people with shoes for their foot types).

I stopped by Kmart today and they had some relatively comfortable tennis shoes on clearance for $12.99....but they didn't have them in my size.

Their non-clearance tennis shoes were only $22.99.

Check out the clearance section of stores online. If you have a smaller foot you can normally find good deals.

I don't think I've paid more than $25 for a pair of tennis shoes since 1989.

Doubt that they last much longer than two weeks, either. :p
