I need opinions and experiences with Primerica

A very good friend of mine came over and after exlpaining everything, my parents get all excited and giddy. Personally, I don't really like it. However, it seems better than Amway and Quixtar, even though it's still a pyramid scheme.

If anybody has any experiences with it, please share. My parents are REALLY wanting to do this. Thanks in advance!

I had a guy the b/f knows say to me.. "i was offered a biz opportunity that I am confused about. Since you are really smart, can you check it out for me?"
So, I go to a meeting with him, to check it out for him... HOLY COW!!!!

TOTAL attempt at indocrination. Every prostest/question met with script. When they realized I was not gonna be drawn in, they were downright rude... borderline hostile to me.

Run, don't walk.

Just be happy knowing that the insurance you'll be buying and selling can be bought for significantly less from lots of other companies.

I don't sell much insurance, but when I meet someone who has a Primeamerica policy, it doesn't take long before they want to buy from me. I just show them what they could have been paying and they instantly come to the conclusion that their friend ripped them off.

I'd like to do it for educational purpose and to further my own growth. Some of their financial services and products don't seem bad at all. However, I would NOT want to work for them. My parents just seem too excited over this. My uncle went through the program; yet he still needs to pass his test. I'd like to just learn about the financial information without paying the $200 fee.

I had a similar experience. A buddy of mine got sucked into their cult, and he convinced me to go to one of their meetings. I couldn't believe what a load of crap it was. The pressure they tried to put on me was worse than a car salesman.

And when I told them I wasn't really interested in what they were offering, they got hostile.

My friend now "works" for them, and he goes around town trying to get everyone he knows to join. Its pretty pathetic.

I think the direction and intent seems ok, but the way they handle it is just crappy. After reading many of the responses on that ripoff site, I'd say they need get their reputation on the positive side first and then let that speak for itself instead of letting the recruitors do it.

they are not a total rip off, but you can do better

i think RossMan would find a better deal than what they have to offer
