I need new speakers!

Ok, I think I blew something on my cheapo Dell Harmon Kardon speakers... the bass is significantly decreased, and I get a real flat thud from the two speakers (subwoofer seems ok).

I need some help in getting a new set... no money for something good, so I need suggestions for something under $50... thanks!

buy a set of headphones cuz another set of 50 dollars speakers will probably blow again, judging by the way how you blew your dell speakers.

Well, I've had these for like 2.5 years.

And I hate headphones... I would never be able to use them. I like being able to listen to music and hear other things at the same time... being able to walk around my room, etc.

These are just old and beat up from lugging to LANs and such...

can get grado SR-60s for like 65$ thoes will be better then 50$ speakers

save up and but some Klipsch Promedias. YOU WONT BE SORRY

I'm selling my Paradigm Monitor 9s...$550. Oh, wait, that says $50 😉

sorry, no good suggestions for that range.

It's strange how my first reaction to that was to want to mortgage my green properties.

$50 computer speakers? Logitech's (z-340 i think) are great.. Altec Lans. has a GREAT $30 speaker out there.. If you mean stereo speakers, let me know.. I got a killer set of speakers from ratshack on clearance for $40 a pair.. I'll try to dig up a model number

Headphones are nice, you don;t disturb anyone within 3 feet of you, some offer sound better than speakers can offer and are great for late nite "solitaire" playing . . . I'm VERY happy with my Sony MDR-V300, if you have the cash get the MDR-V900, those are SWEET! If you really go for another set of speakers Altec Lansing ATP3 is a 2.1 system with a nice 6.5 inch sub, 2 3 inch midrange speakers, and four 1 inch kevlar or somethin tweeters. Awesome lows, broad but accurate midrange and great highs.

Eh... I just can't stand having to put on headphones whenever I need to hear something... and they are so restricting 😛

But he didn't ask for headphones.. You can get a fairly good set of Koss headphones for $15 bucks.. No need to step up to the SR60s just for listening to MP3s (ok, that's exactly what I'm doing right now- I know, I'm a hypocrite- I got them before I got laid off though!)..
