I NEED NEW GAMESSSSS- What older game should I play?

My PC is only 3.2Ghz Quadcore/4gig Ram/HD4850. It runs SC2 1920x1080 at medium quite well.

Lately I need a 'new' game and that'd get me hooked. I can't play new or newer games (like Skyrim).

Games I played and enjoy:
-Dota on WC3
-CS:S
-Deus Ex: Human Revolution (scaled surprisingly well on my PC)
-Torchlight (awesome update for Diablo II fun)

What do you recommend for a good game that's 2+ years old? I tried Witcher II and it ran terribly and couldn't get into it. Fallout ran fine, but just couldn't get into it either.

Bioshock?

Bioshock - great fps game imo

Assassin's creed I director's cut - fun adventure game

Mass effect - if you haven't , DO IT

Mass effect II - I kid you not, it's F'ing awesome

Dead Space - Like scary games? best place to start, controls can be difficult w/o a
controller but manageable

Painkiller black edition - great game, fast pace, lots of action

Titan's quest + XPAC - Another shameless Diablo 2 clone done in a right way

Total Annihilation, Command & Conquer Red Alert series, Rogue, Heroes of Might and Magic 3, Torchlight or Fate, or many more on gog.com.

Can't appreciate C&C as Blizz absolutely floors them in RTS with their super polished UI and controls (nevermind gameplay).

And they're too old, I wouldn't be able to enjoy it.

HOMM3 is still fantastically good. The game isn't about graphics.

Homeworld
Deus Ex
Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines

Ill bet you can play skyrim, your rig is still okay for gaming.

I don't like magic, elves, swords and all that crap and im still really enjoying skyrim

Bioshock - Simply one of the best FPS/RPG games I ever played.
Bioshock 2 - Very good FPS/RPG but not better than the original.

Assasin's Creed 1 - Good game but got repetitive.
Assassin's Creed 2 - The best game in the series so far, you have a ton of things to do and unlike the previous game it doesn't get repetitive.
Assassin's Creed Brotherhood - Better than 1 but not as good as 2, still if you enjoyed the other 2 this one will be a no brainer since it progresses the overall story.

Dead Space - Remember those old Resident Evil games where sometime it seemed like you were going to shit yourself? Similar atmosphere here, play alone and play in the dark for some epic time.

Mass Effect Series - If you haven't played them, DO IT NOW! Some of the best games I ever played.

Portal 1 and 2 - Really fun games if you haven't played them already, highly recommended.

Batman Arkham Asylum - I thoroughly enjoyed this game and I don't usually like superhero games.

I am personally playing Battlefield 3 and Skyrim right now, you can probably run BF3 if you crank the settings down and as for Skyrim it doesn't seem all that intensive. I will list more games as they come to me I had to catch up a lot over this past summer.

This.

Skyrim will definitely run on your PC.

Well CPU is Phenom X3 with 4th core unlocked and OC'd to 3.4 from 2.8. So it is much slower CPU comparable to Core 2 Duo and 3 tiers below i5.

It ran Witcher II like absolute shit. The game will run sub optimal for sure and I don't know if I want to pay for that experience.

Serious Sam 3
Borderlands - its best with friends
Left 4 dead 2
Fortress Forever - its free
Oblivion IV
S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat
Counter-Strike:Source
Metro2033 - the movement is kinda jerky, but it seems like a good game

If nothing else, save your money and buy a game pack during the chiristmas - new years sale on Steam.

Chances are Valve will put the complete Valve package on sale for less then $50 at the end of the year.
