I need new friends

I feel like the friends I made in high school were fail. Now that I'm out of college and working and back at home, I feel like I've moved on. While they're good people... shrug. Kinda sucks back at home. My college friends live much further away unfortunately.

I was in the same situation a few months back, except instead of being back home I am about 30 miles away. I just quit calling them. I'm a loner now but it still beats hanging out with those people, as much as I love them people change.

I'm in the opposite situation. I don't really fit in with my university friends and love my high school friends, but we are all still in university. But I am looking for a new place this weekend, so hopefully I will find a place with some cool people that like to party.

I know how it feels. All of my childhood/highschool friends are complete trash now. I didn't talk to any of them for about 6 years after I moved. Several of them are in and out of jail, one of them stole a very expensive guitar from another friend and is quite proud of it.. none of them have made themselves any better than working at a dollar store. Weed weed weed all day.. they all live for it.

in all seriousness, yeah, i get the feeling. my best friends are the ones from high school though. those are ppl who became friends due to interests rather than convenience (ie in the same major), and they'll most likely last me a lifetime. i barely hang out with my uni friends, but still see the high school bunch on a regular basis.
