sharing 500 minutes suck.... even though i get free nights and weekends
most of our calls are monday-fri before 5 p.m

last month we went over minutes.. so paid a fee
this month it's only been 10 days into the month and we've already used 200 of the 500 minutes. We don't have a local phone service in our apartment just our cell phones so we have to use it if we have to call somewhere.

I'm with sprint btw, paying around 100 bucks per month for two phones :(
500 AT minutes shared
unlimited nights and weekends
unlimited sprint to sprint (kinda pointless after couple months of having it)
unlimited vision (paying $15 extra for it,, without it monthly fee would be 85 but vision is decent.. i use it often)

I wish i can get 500 minutes increased without paying more!!
i have to stay with sprint so i can;t go to other providers
sprint has been good overall except the low anytime minutes
i tried retention but it didn't work... maybe i got unlucky

any ideas to increase anytime minutes? i hate worrying about how much minutes i use up everytime i make a call/receive a call .. etc :frown:

Did you sign a 1 year agreement? If you're at the end of it, you can try and negotiate with them.

I own two phones. Each phone has 600 anytime minutes and unlimited weekend minutes. You can add unlimited nights for something like 5 bucks, but still. I pay less than 100 bucks per month.

I see three options:
1. Get a landline if you are going to be on the phone so much.
2. Extend your contract with Sprint in return for switching to another plan that better suits your needs.
3. Talk less.

If you can't switch your plan through Sprint while extending your contract, you probably have to get a landline. Otherwise you will be paying for extra minutes every month.

No question, your cheapest option is to talk less.

What I love is the low price $69.99, 800 weekday minutes, UNLIMITED FREE CELL TO CELL, free roaming/free long distance.

You're complaining about sharing 500 minutes? I have 120 minutes from an old Cingular plan. I keep this plan because of the 8pm nights instead of the 9pm nights. I have free M-to-M minutes so that helps.

I've had this plan for over 2 years and I've only gone over 120 minutes three times (and one of the three was resolved).

wow how'd you get that plan? I'm paying $39.99/month through Verizon for 1000 anytime minutes. No off peak or m-to-m. Is that an employee discount or something?

Wow your service is really pricey...I'm paying Cingular $50/month for 500 nationwide minutes, 5000 nights & weekends with rollover (i have around 1200 rollovers accumulated) and $9.95 for one additional phone (my dad's, he doesn't use it that much) - $60/month total..

My new cingular wireless plan has 7pm to 7am, nights/weekends....might want to check that out.

damn, those are some great hours...I'm still wishing and praying that T-Mobile will include free nights (not just weekends) with their Family Plan, as that'd be the icing on the cake.

You have to pay extra to get nights starting at 7pm.

The Sprint plan is a rip off. I pay 39.99 for 550 anytime free LD/ roaming and unlimited nights and weekends. One thing that pisses me off is that ATT has crazy taxes
