I need media player 6.4

Not quite hardware, but anyway now that the crap version of media player is official, anyone know where to get 6.4 (the last good version), I don't wanna be stuck with the earlier version that comes with win98se.

I tried this before but my connection speed was crap. Its all good now... I cant wait to get rid of 7!

It's still there,look in C:\Program Files\Windows Media Player\mplayer2.exe

I got a 233pentium does windows mp7 stop skipping and get smooth if you have a faster cpu?

AMB, I thing WMP7 is OK with a wider range of support than 6.4 (My Nomad II, MP3 playlists, etc.). I still prefer WinAmp for most audio, but it's nice having a unified player in some instances.

Unification blows sometimes.

WMP is good for movies. Real Player is decent for streaming, good at annoying you everytime you want to use it. Winamp/Sonique are good for mp3s. WMP might be good, but I HATE HATE HATE deaing with music/movie libraries. Musicmatch Jukebox is good at extracting wavs or converting straight to Mp3, but I would never if my life depended on it use it (or real jukebox for that matter) use it as my CD burner or MP3 player.

I'd rather have a number of SMALL programs that do an EXCELLENT job in their respective area than have one huge POS that can do all of them with extreme mediocrity.
