Sometimes, when I turn my computer on, my computer will not boot up and will freeze at the load box for Win2K. So I dsiable the ATA/100 via jumper and move my 20GB 75GXP from the ATA/100(RAID) controller to the normal ATA/33 controller, and it boots up fine. i then look at the Win2K computer management->system info->hardware resources->Conflicts/Sharing and I find that with my ATA/100 disabled, 5 other components are sharing ONE IRQ. There compoenents are:
Microsoft ACPI-Compliant System
Radeon
VIA USB Universal Host Controller
Creative SB Live! series (WDM)
Linksys LNE100TX Fast Ethernet Adapter
All sharing IRQ 7. My guess is, that when my ATA/100 is enabled, that it also shares the same IRQ with all the other components and it freezes my comp when they are all being used.
funny thing is, this just happened randomly. I start up my comp today, and it starts freezing and stuff. Is there anyway I can permanently assign IRQ's, or make it so that my Radeon doesn't need an IRQ? or does it? Thanks!
