I am a broke college student an dhave already spent to much $$ on gifts, so going out to eat is not an option. Does anyone have some good recipes for a romantic meal made at home? Maybe something like a surf and turf, or a poultry dish.

surf and turf is easy. Grill a steak, boil a lobster. melt some butter to use over both. If you don't want to spend as much, use shrimp instead of lobster. Saute shrimp in butter, garlic, parsley until shrimp no longer translucent, then quickly take off heat and serve.

I'm doing chicken cordon bleu, just not sure of the side dish yet. It's easy, and relatively cheap, and really tastes good.

You just take chicken breast, and roll it up around swiss cheese, or another kind you prefer better, and ham, put toothpicks in it to hold it together, bread it and fry it in oil, drain on paper towels, then put it in the oven for about 25 mins at 350 degrees. It's really good, and easy to make.

Just remember to remove the toothpicks before serving. ;)
