Ok, heres the deal. I was installing games etc. and then when I was done my desktop went wakko! Here is a pic of my messed up desktop. I am running WINBLOWS ME with the system in my sig! I uninstalled the programs that I installed so what the heck? These recycling bins are everywhere and the don't seem to affect any program. Any ideas?

Have you tried the Restore feature of WinMe? Start - Programs - Assessories - System Tools - System Restore. Might do the trick.

Good Luck

don't reinstall dang it!!!!
geez!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
holy crap advice
all it looks like is the game you installed screwed up ur .ico links....
for shorcuts, just right click and propertys and seleclt icon....
for actualy programs that you have on the desktop (dunno why) u'd have to find the actualy .ico
but i would recommend this...

change your theme settings, back to original windows or whatever you were using, hopefully you did have a theme, that would probaly fix everything
unless the game deleted the .ico

by the way, dont blame windows, blame the stupid game you installed
and if windows is so bad, why the heck are you using it?????

Tried it all, doesn't work. If u look, there are actually the original icons behind the recycling bins. Angelfire is stupid so just delete a letter of the link and then retype and hopefully it should work. Game is uninstalled. This is a windows problem!

its not a windows problem.
its the software you installed.
when you uninstall it, it doesn't restore your system
it just removes SOME of the files it put there
it doesnt restore links and settings...

it looks funny. You have antivirus software installed? (on second thought, I see it on the desktop) Use it.

I think the game just corrupted the icon cache. Use tweakUI to fix taht.
