Hi all:
trying out XP Pro. After initial boot, I get an error saying Windows detected a problem with my swap file settings, and that a temporary swap file is in use, please make the needed corrections". I went in and checked the settings, everything was set the same as my old 2K set- up, except it said" current total swap file, -0- mb. I tried custom, as well as Windows managed, and after hitting set, and apply, and then a reboot- same thing. I have 384 mg ram, and was seting the boot partition to 574/574, and the program partition to 574/1152. I am logged in as Admin when I do thism so permissions shouldn't be the problem.

Any clues???

What do you mean when you say:

<< Textseting the boot partition to 574/574, and the program partition to 574/1152 >>

?

Do you mean that is what size you set the swap file to on each partition?

defrag has been done:
yes, those are the settings I have been using for a year, now on 2K : it doesn't matter WHAT I put them at: when I reboot, they are set back to -0-
