Assume the following.
I have 10 apples and 10 oranges that came in a fruit basket. I paid $15 for the fruit basket and I could buy more apples @ 5 for $2 and more oranges @ 5 for $3. Assuming no relationship between the total price of the basket and the prices of the extra fruit, how can i find unit cost per apple and per orange in the original basket? Doesn't have to be exact, but should be as close to the unit cost of the extra fruit (and relationship betwee then cost of apples to oranges) as possible. Thanks for any ideas, i'm stumped here.
I'm trying to figure this out so when I see these "apples" and "oranges" back I know more specifically what profit i'm gettin back. I dont' know how to figure this either. Any help would be apprecaited. 🙂
