I need help with Premiere 6.0. Upon compression I get no visseo I just get sound. The visseo used to work before I installed a EZonicksII Web Cam and a Phillips Acoustic Edge sound card. I removed the sound card and switched back to the motherboard sound of IWill k266-R motherboard. but it did no good. I wonder why Ulead media studio works and premire does not?
I can see the video before I compress it and export it.
I exported it to the web as mpg1 ---> no visseo
I exported it as mpg4 with DivX codec 502-----> no Visseo
I tried it in 729x480 and in 340x240 -----> no visseo
Some information about recording equipment:
The video was originally recorded on a professional large sony CamCorder and transcribed to the tape of a smaller 8mm firewire CamCorder tape (8mm i think) and was captured to my computer's hard drive.
The captured uncompressed file plays fine with players outside of Premiere. It plays fine inside of premiere both on the time line and on the clip.
The file was compressable in Ulead Media Studio 6 and works fine when compressed from there but,
I can only export it as AVI DivX 502 I cannot (or do not know how to) compress the uncompressed file to mpg1 in Ulead Media Studio, for use on the internet web.
I tried using external avi2mpg converters, several do not work with winXP they just flash in and out when started and vannish.
I did manage to get one to work but it only will convert DivX 502 avi files to mpeg1 if the file is small + or - 55 or so megs size,
I tried to recompress a 600 meg file and tried it 2 times getting no motion for 1/2 the vid clip and then slowly the motion begins so if I break up my original clip into 10 clips I compress them fine. just not the 600 megs one.
If somone knows how to get the visseo turned on in Premiere 6.0 I may be able to directly compress without recompressing and get a clean mpg1 file. ( I hope
that works. Also if you have any suggestions I did not ask for pleas do suggest
