i guess you can call it one of those infamous driver problems. well, heres on i havent seen in the forums...maybe i didnt search hard enough, but im pretty sure it hasnt been mentioned. In counterstrike, when i move my cursor to the side to turn or rotate, i get this bumpy motion. its like the FPS is skipping really fast or something, but it seems like bumps. in jedi outcast, when i turn to rotate, my FPS gets really low like 1 or 2 FPS. and it skips until i stop rotating. i think it could be my hard drive, because i can hear TONS of hard drive activity very often when im playing jedi outcast...i tried turning vsync off, trying the official drivers, and same thing. i remember the same thing in jedi outcast happen in serious sam as well. im installed the latest unofficial drivers right now to see if that will fix it. 6058 i think. thanks in advance

Lots of hard drive activity huh... when was the last time you defragged? Although I'm not quite sure that's the problem...

Make sure you have the latest drivers from ATi (6052) because they supposedly fix the problems that older versions had with texture uploading and excessive HD activity during gameplay. Also if you don't have at least 512 MB RAM consider buying some more.

I play both games and I haven't noticed any problems with my 8500. I started with the 6023 drivers which worked great. I'm now on the 6054 drivers which also work great. I have no idea what to tell you other than both games can work great on any of the ATI drivers that have been available in the past 3 months. Maybe your problem is elsewhere?
