1st off I am determined to have this case but I am not sure if everything will fit in it.

Case: Corsair Vengeance C70 Arctic White Edition

Hard drive: Seagate Barracuda 1TB 7200RPM

Motherboard: Biostar TA970 AM3+ AMD 970

Graphics card: XFX Core Edition FX Radeon HD 7850 2GB

Power supply: Topower Top 800WS-800W

Memory: G. Skill Ripjaws X Series 8GB(4GBx2)

Processor: AMD Phenom II X4 965 Black Edition

OS: Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit

So that's what I got an it is $5 under my $800 budget. Is everything good and compatible?

The C70 is a huge case... all those components will fit in there and then some.

I would question your choice of PSU... you don't need anywhere near an 800w PSU for all that, and I question the brand.

I went with the PSU because it was the cheapest over 600 watt. Should I just get a 500 watt instead?

Cheap doesn't necessarily mean better. 500w should be fine.

You didn't list prices so we don't know what you are working with, either.

I saw you cross posted this in GH, I would concur with the others about getting an Intel processor, too. Just saying. :)

I have $800. I want that graphics card and case so I can't really afford I5.

I found everything on newegg.

The case and graphics card put me at $315 or so

I could afford a I3 2120 Sandy bridge. Is there a cheaper route for my hard drive?

I don't know how much you are spending on it. You can get a 500GB HDD for $50 on sale, that may save you $10-30 over a 1TB drive.

Like SleepingForest suggests, look at your case. That is a HUGE case. You can easily go with a more appropriate case for $50 and put that money towards a better CPU/mobo combo.

My suggestion is to drop down on the case and HDD, go to at least a i3 and a B75 or H77 mobo and pair it with a decent 500W PSU. If you want to overclock you will need to go to a more expensive Z77 board and a 'K' Intel processor... A i5 3470 and a B75 or H77 mobo will serve you well.

If you live near KC, you can go to MicroCenter and get a far better deal on a CPU/mobo combo than you can find at Newegg. I've bought all my CPUs and mobos at MC.

The is my 1st build and the military style case fits me so imma go over budget and get a n i5

You know, that C70 OD green is a kick butt looking case... but it's all cosmetics. Military style fits me, too... :D but a better case is more practical. Call it 'field expedience.'

Betcha a can of Krylon OD Green is cheaper...
