I need help with mem timings. on 8K7A to get HIGHER than 185FSB stable and fast *EDIT* Also got mail back from epox about BIOS

I need an explanation of the first mem timings on 8k7a board. I know the last 3 timings, need the first 4. What do they do? what do they change? what kind of performance hit? Thanks.

I got word back from epox. They are gonna pass on request for BIOS over 166MHz support to engineers! Woohoo. Maybe, you never know. = )

I really wonder why they did this, the A7M266 BIOS goes up to 190, and the 7DXR BIOS up to 250 FSB. EPOX should change this asap!!

Yeah. They will fix it. They would get a lot of press for an 8K7A at 180FSB right now. using AGP card. 1.53GHz CPU. I got it stable at this speed by enabling I think it was agp compenxate? or it was the agp isa aliasing. one of the two.

I am gonna flash the 5/21/01 BIOS and see if it OC better then the 3 one I have.

by the way, could you post your Sandra screen shots? I think you know that the increase in bandwidth is not linear? It's getting smaller and smaller beyond 160MHz. I would prefer a
1.33@1.60 (10x160) that is what I'm running now.
