i need help with ide drivers

i have a shuttle ms51n board with the sis 650 chipset. My system is running really slow with programs and such. Its running slower than my old computer. I cant find any ide drivers for this chipset on the sis website. When i run prime95 it shuts my computer off. I have ran ram testing software and the ram is fine. Also, when i went to device manager and looked under ide/atapi devices, my disk is running in PIO mode and not DMA. WTF is goin on with my system? thanks

The chipset drivers are on the CD that came with the MB... 😉 Once you install them which should be the first ones you install it should allow you to have dma...

Page 44 of the manual is where it tells you to install the chipset drivers... 🙂

Yeah it sounds like you need the latest BIOS version. Also I'd email SiS about those chipset drivers - often they'll group several motherboards into one download package so it could just be that you're looking in the wrong place for them.
