Hi, for those of you who work at circuit city or have used the extended warranty plan, can you explain to me how it works? I purchased a PDA almost two years ago with a 2 year extended warranty, the manufacture's warranty ran out, but there's another year on the extended. My Jornada 568 just died and it is extremely critical that I get a replacement for work. I can't afford to have it out of comission for more than a few days. Anyways, should I buy a new one or how long does it take for circuit city to fix it or replace it? I spent almost $100 on the plan. Thanks in advance.

They'll attempt to repair it and if they can't they issue you credit towards a new one, equal to what you paid for yoru Jornada.

they should just replace it for you... be careful though, sometimes a "2 year" extended warranty means two years from date of purchase, not 2 years from end of manufacturer's warranty. it could just possibly be a 1 year extended warranty. they like to lie like that...

Did you *break* it or did it die?

Call the support center. (800) 555-4615

They will attempt to fix it. They will fail. They will either a) give you a gift card or b) just send you a new one. What they did w/ a coworker of mine was send him a new one. He sent them a B&W jornada, they sent him a color jornada. good deal.
