I need help with an error message: Check system health CPU ID:0680

I bought components from newegg and can't get it going, can't install windows, don't know what the problem is.
During bootup it gives a post error message:
CHECK SYSTEM HEALTH CPU ID:0680. Any tips?
A concern is also that I have the ThermalTake Volcano 7+ at top speed, and with nothing running the CPU temp is still at or above 66 C.

Gigabyte GA-7VRXP
Athlon XP 2200+
Western Digital 120 GB 7200 RPM
Mushkin PC2700 DDRAM, 1 x 512 MB
ATI All-in-Wonder Radeon 8500

I appreciate your help. 😱😕

Also wondering - when I get the latest BIOS update, does that take care of all earlier updates as well, or do I need to update it sequentially several times? Can you tell I'm new here?

I don't know exactly about the error message, but 65C is too hot. Did you use thermal paste on the CPU and heatsink before you put it on ? Are you sure it is seated correctly ? You should leave the case cover off, and make sure your temp is below 60 before you proceed. What is the threshold in the bios for a warning message ? (is there one?) What is the case temp ? More info needed.
